Marilyn Clark founded Worksmart, LLC in 2002 with a
simple mission—“to empower individuals and organizations to
reach their full potential.” The Lexington based consulting
firm empowers its clients through an offering of employee
and organizational assessments, business strategy and
consulting, high performance training and personal coaching.
She brings to her clients a rich management background with
over 15 years of experience building and managing television
stations in Dallas, Philadelphia, Birmingham and Lexington.
She was the Vice-President, Station Manager of the NBC
Affiliate in Lexington before starting her own business.
“Each night ninety percent of an organization’s assets walk
out the door, Clark says. People are the intellectual
capital that creates innovation and new profits for
businesses.” Worksmart works in association with 360
Solutions, a national seminar company and Profiles
International, an international assessment company to keep
connected to the latest information on employee engagement
and talent management.
“I
want my clients to benefit from what I have learned along
the way and from what I know now,” she says. “What I know
now is that there is a better way. They don’t have to work
long or hard, just Worksmart.”
In
her consulting with individuals and organizations, Marilyn
uses strategies she learned from her certification classes
at the Center for Organizational Design outside Denver,
Colorado. Companies like Ford, AT&T, Proctor and Gamble, and
Colgate have used these same strategies to sharpen their
vision, develop their people, increase their productivity
and improve their processes.
Clark believes that training is an investment in people.
Many companies, she adds, see it as a hit or miss
opportunity or something to make people feel good. It’s not.
“Training,” she says, “is an absolute necessity that pays
for itself many times over in improved performance and
bottom line results.”
